Annuities
A fixed annuity is a contract with an insurance company that credits a guaranteed interest rate for a set period, grows tax-deferred, and can later be turned into income. The insurer bears the investment risk. Fixed annuities are insurance products, sold under an insurance license and subject to state suitability or best-interest rules.
Fixed annuities appeal to savers who want certainty and are comparing them with bank certificates. The details that matter are the guarantee period, the surrender charge schedule, free-withdrawal provisions and what happens to the rate when the guarantee ends.
The fixed annuity calculator takes an Initial Premium, Monthly Contribution, Guaranteed Rate (%) and Years to Grow, and returns the Future Value and Total Growth. The rate the visitor types is their assumption, not a carrier's offer, so the producer's first job is to anchor it to what is actually available.
